Venice Airport Marco Polo

The airport of Venice-Marco-Polo, (IATA code: VCE – ICAO code : LIPZ), also still known by its former name of Venice-Tessera Airport, is an Italian international airport located in Venice, on the terraferma (it) (“terra firma”) and on the north shore of the Venice lagoon, eight kilometres north of the historic centre, in the eastern part of Tessera (it), occupying most of the surface of this frazione of the municipality of Favaro Veneto (it), itself part of the municipality of Venice.

Venice Airport it is named after the famous Venetian traveller Marco Polo. It is bordered to the north-west by the state road 14 of the Veneto Julia (it), connecting it to the southwest.

west to Mestre, six kilometres away (and east to Trieste, about one hundred and sixty kilometres away).

Its management has been entrusted to SAVE s.p.a. Società Aeroporto Venezia s.p.a..
